Within the module you will gain or improve the competences in the field of Russian Language and business culture, you’ll visit «Baltica» brewery company, together with some small businesses.
Module is mostly specified for Finnish students. So you will have possibility to communicate in Finnish.

RUSSIAN LANGUAGE (level 1)
The course is designed for students having had no prior contact with the Russian language. It introduces to students the basic structure of Russian language and is aimed at forming four main skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. By the end of the course students will be able to read and write in Russian, understand spoken language, participate in dialogues on various subjects, make up statements about a picture and retell written and heard texts. The course is conducted entirely in Russian and requires daily preparation (self study) and active participation in class work. It includes practical training in class, reading various texts, conversations on the basis of the subject of the texts and of known topics, answering questions, making monologue statements on a proposed topic.
RUSSIAN LANGUAGE (level 2)
The course is designed for students having studied the Russian language and wishing to improve their skills. It requires having learned the basic structure of Russian language. The course is aimed at building on the structures of the language and refining four main skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. By the end of the course students will be able to skim texts and distinguish the main ideas, participate in communications; read texts in Russian, understand and retell the contents of written or heard texts and make up statements. The course includes individual and group work and self study. Student activities are such as conversation, role playing, performing oral and written exercises and reading texts.
RUSSIAN BUSINESS CULTURE
This course is aimed at giving students information about Russian business culture and business environment in Russia. Key concepts of Russian business culture (collectivism, egalitarianism and soul) are considered together with structure and hierarchy in Russian companies, working relationships in Russia, business practices in Russia, attitude towards foreign partners, gender aspects etc. Such partial things as business dress code, meals and business etiquette, gifts are also taken into consideration. Field trip to Pepsi Company is the part of the course.
